WHO raises alarm as Coronavirus hits 14.3 million cases

THE dreadful Coronavirus codenamed as Covid-19 has recorded a total of 13.8 million confirmed cases, 8.04million recovered cases and 610,383 deaths across the world.

Out of the figure, United States of America has 3,781,985 confirmed cases, 1,108,518 recovered cases and 142,229 deaths.

In Nigeria, 653 new cases of coronavirus were recorded on Saturday, July 18 as confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) totaling it to now 36,107 confirmed cases with 778 deaths while 14,938 patients have recovered from the contagion and have been discharged.

A breakdown of the new cases is as follows; Lagos-115, Kwara-85, Enugu-80, FCT-78, Rivers-36, Ondo-35, Oyo-30, Katsina-28, Kaduna-19, Abia-19, Nasarawa-18, Plateau-17, Imo-16, Ogun-9, Ebonyi-9, Benue-9, Kano-9, Delta-8, Bauchi-7, Ekiti-6, Gombe-4, Bayelsa-4, Adamawa-4, Osun-4, Cross River-1, Yobe-1, Borno-1, Zamfara-1.
