Covid-19 is a deadly disease caused by the novel coronavirus, it was found in the year 2019 and reported to the WHO in the year 2020.

Covid-19 was first found in Wuhan, china city, Hubei province. It spread from one person to another and later spread to almost everyone in the country.

Covid-19 effect on children healths are:

1.It brings about a lot of sicknesses e.g fever, cold, cough and other sicknesses. It was noted that the disease has similar symptoms with some major common diseases like influenza, cold, flu etc but on closer examination and further tests, it more complicated and deadly. Children who contact the deadly disease can die if not properly attended to.

  1. The debilitating health issues call for concern. Children are not allowed to mix properly in peer group interaction thereby causing lots of disadvantages and denial of important gains from peer group. Even in classrooms, they are not allowed to relate well. The whole ecosystem is boring and not utilised optimally. Hence, a state of abyss in our dispensations.
  2. Movement restrictions: This is one of the worst situations that could happen to man. Human were created to move about and around so as to influence their environment but in the absence of movement, how can certain things happen? Children could not attend schools to learn. Holidays could not be enjoyed by travelling from one place to another, visiting interesting places, catching funs and gaining new cultural integrations by visiting other places outside one’s territories.

Though the virtual system systems introduced for educational and training purposes helped in no small measures but how many homes or children of the less privileged could afford such facilities especially in Africa?.

Many are short of what to eat let alone access to internet facilities and other sophisticated gadgets.

The control/preventive measures as prescribed by WHO and other health regulatory authorities all over the world.

Some of the important ways to reverse the effects of the covid-19 are listed below :

1.cross border regulations/restrictions.

2. Washing hands regularly, for about twenty seconds within soap and water.

3. Using alcohol based hand sanitizer.

4. Avoid crowded places.

5. Maintaining at least 2 meter social distancing

Covid-19 is still very much around us causing untold serious and unpleasant health issues with high mortality rates among adults that are responsible for our care. It is at the instance of their living and good health the children can reach for the top.

We are calling on our government and various authorities in health sector to as a matter of urgency make this menace a history.
