IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu berates FG over terrorists

Nnamdi Kanu

LEADER of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has berated the federal government for its plan to pardon Boko Haram terrorists to be integrated into the society.

Kanu on his social media handle said that such action by the federal government is an aberration all over the world and asked if there is such record in any part of the world as a precedent.

“A president that pardons terrorists slaughtering his citizens is himself a terrorist. The claim that they’re repentant Boko Haram is a grand deception. There’s no such thing as a repentant terrorist. Have you ever heard of ‘repentant’ Al Qaeda, ISIS or Taliban? No nation ever pampers terrorists” he said.

The cessation activist summed up that Nigeria is the only country all over the world the rewards terrorists with incentives.

“Nigeria not only pampers terrorists but it gives them scholarships and sends them to mix with those they’ve terrorized and slaughtered. There’s no other way of looking at this than that Nigeria is the only nation that rewards terrorism”, Kanu concluded.

The rehabilitation and reintegration of the repentant Bokoharam terrorists is untimely and dangerous. Ordinarily, it could be done if the war is over and the entire enemy lay down their weapons. But as it is now they could still be sympathetic to their old comrades and be spying for them thereby sabotaging the war effort, as well as endangering the locals.

The rehabilitation and reintegration of surrendered armed terrorists is not timely, usually such could only take place when the war is over or when the entire enemy has surrendered and cease hostilities. There is every tendency that they still sympathise with their former comrades by
