APC Youths accuse govt appointees of vending jobs to their fellows

A group in the All Progressives Congress, APC Youth Movement and Development Forum (AYMDF) has cried out that some top government appointees and civil servants in the country sell jobs with conditions to their fellow youths and thereby intimidating those qualified for the jobs.

In a statement by the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Ahmed Suleiman on Thursday while in an exclusive interview with our correspondent, they group lamented profusely that some privileged politicians in government are offering jobs with pecuniary interest to the highest bidders.

The group cautioned that if the nonchalant attitudes and unfair treatments continue unabated, they will mobilise other victims from various youth groups in the country in a mass action to fight the injustices.

“We call on top government appointees and civil servants in the country to stop selling jobs to fellow Nigerian youths or get themselves disgraced from office, and the group have resolved to work with other various youth groups in the country to end this dangerous abuse of power and privileges of office by very unpatriotic Nigerians.

“The forum believed that such action against those selling any available jobs to citizens will further reduce corruption in the country.

“Yes, so many youth have come to us complaining how they were asked to pay before collecting job approval”, Suleiman said.

The group called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare state emergency on unemployment among youths in the country adding that many crimes in the society are linked to unemployment.

He said that Nigerian youths have over the years been neglected in the scheme of things except to be used as thugs during the elections by politicians.

Suleiman categorically mentioned the recent corruption at various sectors of the economy particularly the Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) saga saying that politicians have mortgaged the future of the youths through corrupt practices.
