Anambra CP decorates 24 newly promoted Officers

THE Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP John Abang on Thursday decorated twenty four (24) newly promoted Senior Police Officers at the State Command Headquarters, Awka.

SP Haruna Mohammed, PPRO Anambra State Police Command, who made this known in a statement said the decoration ceremony followed the recent promotion of 6,601 personnel of the Nigeria Police Force throughout the Federation.

The ceremony was attended by the Command management team and relations of the newly promoted officers adding that the promotion was in line with IGP’s determination towards boosting the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery.

The Command’s spokesperson also indicated that the promotion was also based on merit, seniority and dedication to duty.

In his address, the Commissioner of Police congratulated the beneficiaries on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, and urged the officers to reciprocate the gesture done to them by redoubling their efforts towards fighting crimes and exhibiting high professionalism, civility to members of the public and respect for human rights.

Meanwhile, a total number of 24 officers have so far benefited from the Command comprising of two (2) Chief Superintendents of Police, twenty (20) Superintendents of Police and two (2) Deputy Superintendents of Police respectively.

Among the beneficiaries are the Command Staff Officer Senior(SOS) CSP Uchendu Francisca, DPO Nnobi Division CSP Okwor Clifford and Admin Officers Department of Operations SHQ Awka) SP Adamu Y. Doma.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Uchendu Francisca thanked the IGP and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion and also promised to redouble their efforts towards serving the Nation with integrity.
