APC chieftain, Senator Ajimobi finally kicks the bucket, set for burial

FORMER governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has finally joined his ancestors on Thursday through complications of Coronavirus.

The ex-governor, who was governor from 2011 to 2019 was rumoured to have died on 18 June which turned out to be false though in a critical condition.

Late Senator Ajimobi will be buried tomorrow, Friday 26th June 2020 in Ibadan at 10:00am according to the Islamic rites.

The 70-year-old, was named the Acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) last week amid serious illness but never resumed.

He was formerly Chief Executive Officer, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Nigeria, prior to venturing into politics.
