Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem
PROFESSOR of Law, Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) has felicitated with the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem on her 63rd birthday.
The legal luminary who is also Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete in his congratulatory message on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State described the jurist as an upright and principled woman who places fairness, objectivity and integrity above other things.
Justice Dongban-Mensem, formerly Acting President, Court of Appeal was recently appointed as the President of the Court of Appeal by President Muhammadu Buhari and confirmed by the Senate in line with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
On her confirmation as the PCA, Professor Amuda-Kannike commended President Buhari for his decisive action stating that the portfolio to the jurist is well deserved.
He stressed that the jurist since her position as acting President of the Court of Appeal has shown competence, dedication and expertise for service delivery in her job, and therefore, prudently merits continuity.
Amuda-Kannike prayed for many more years in health, strength and happiness as she celebrates her 63rd birthday.
