Covid-19: PDP carpets Buhari on purported N20,000 relief package

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari’s government over the claims that the federal government has disbursed a sum of N20,000 to over 2.6 million households in Kwali Area Council.

In a statement by the PDP Vanguard on Thursday, the group questioned how Kwali Area Council with a total population of 150,000 suddenly transformed to over 2.6 million households which the government claimed it has shared the palliative funds within 24 hours.

“Major General Buhari (Rtd) led government is arguably the most corrupt, heartless, deceitful, and mendacious on the planet.

“Kwali Area Council has a total population of 150,000; but the government has shared N20,000 to over 2.6 million households within 24 hours”, the group stated.

From record, Kwali is an area council in the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria. Its headquarters is in the town of Kwali. It has an area of 1,206 km² and a population of 85,837 at the 2006 census.
