PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari’s family has reunited with one of the daughters who went on self-isolation on arrival from the United Kingdom.
The First lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari had however, explained that the daughter’s self-isolation was not because any symptom of Covid-19 was spotted on her but on the policy of the authority for preventing spread of the contagion in the country.
The First lady who broke the news of her rejoining the family on Thursday after the specified 14 days via her tweeter account added that the family is elated to have her back hale and hearty, and urged other citizens to adopt the same measure in the interest of the nation.
“It is a thing of joy and gratitude to Almighty God to reunite with my daughter after she had been in isolation for 14 days immediately she landed in Nigeria.
“While I’m wishing all those infected for a speedy recovery, I pray for the end of this pandemic”, Mrs. Buhari tweeted.
The self-isolation policy is a safeguard measure put in place by the Federal Ministry of Health, Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for travelers to any of the high burden-listed countries of Covid-19 for a period of 14 days.
