Embattled Edo governor, Obaseki resigns from APC

EDO State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has resigned his membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obaseki announced his resignation on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The governor was disqualified by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) from contesting in the 2020 governorship election in Edo state. Obaseki is seeking for a second term in office.

However, the embattled governor is yet to disclose his next line of action or political party to pitch his tent.
