Amuda-Kannike, AbdulRazaq salute Emir of Ilorin at 27
Prof Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) has joined other well-wishers in congratulating His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the Emir of Ilorin as he clocks 27 years on the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin, Kwara State.
This was contained in a statement to media by the university don, Professor Amuda-Kannike, who is also the Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete on Friday adding that the monarch deserves to be celebrated by anyone that knows him following his exceptional qualities.
The traditional head of Ilorin clocked 27 years on the throne today, Friday 11 November, 2022.
The legal luminary lauded the achievements of the traditional ruler stressing that his reign has recorded giant strides and particularly made the area one of the most peaceful in the nation on account of his leadership qualities.
“The reign of the monarch has continued to be characterized by purposeful and responsive leadership which always enthrones fairness and justice in all actions in his kingdom. In addition, his reign has arguably brought progress and prosperity in the land.
“Words will not be sufficient to showcase the great attributes of the traditional ruler who also has continued to be a voice of the voiceless. I salute you His Royal Highness”. Professor Amuda-Kannike stated.

In similar vein, the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq saluted the Emir describing him as a strong pillar of his administration by way of fatherly advice and support which he always takes in high esteem.
The governor made the remarks in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on November 10. The statement reads;
“On behalf of the people and Government of Kwara State, I congratulate His Royal Highness Mai Martaba the Emir of Ilorin on this landmark. His reign has not only been peaceful, it has heralded a new era of growth and development to Ilorin. Under him, sons, daughters and residents of Ilorin have attained new heights in leadership across various platforms of human endeavour, including in politics and economy.
“As an administration, we are especially grateful to His Royal Highness for his support, fatherly advice, and royal leadership, all of which have helped to strengthen our developmental efforts. With his support, our administration is transforming the capital city to become more beautiful amid new economic opportunities and solid plans for sustainable living.
“The Government, indeed, congratulates Mai Martaba and the people of Ilorin on this anniversary, and we beseech Almighty Allah to ease the affairs of His Royal Highness and grant him good health and honour always.”
