Amuda-Kannike felicitates with Emir of Ilorin on 25 years on throne

PROFESSOR of law, Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) has expressed delight to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the Emir of Ilorin as he marks silver jubilee on throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin, Kwara State.

This was contained in a statement to media by the university don, Professor Amuda-Kannike, who is also Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete on Wednesday adding that the monarch deserves to be celebrated by anyone that knows him or has been in Ilorin since his coronation.

The traditional head of Ilorin clocked 25 years on throne on Wednesday 11 November, 2020.

The legal luminary lauded the achievements of the traditional ruler stressing that his reign has recorded giant strides and particularly made the area one of the most peaceful in the nation on account of his leadership qualities.

“The reign of the monarch has continued to be characterized by purposeful and responsive leadership which always enthrones fairness and justice in all actions in his kingdom. In addition, his reign has arguably brought progress and prosperity in the land.

“I commend and celebrate His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR as he clocks 25 years on throne. We are blessed to have the monarch on throne all these years, and it is my prayers that almighty Allah continue to protect and increased him in wisdom for his tasks in Ilorin and the nation at large.

“Words will not be sufficient to showcase the great attributes of the traditional ruler who also has continued to be a voice of the voiceless. I salute you His Royal Highness”. Professor Amuda-Kannike stated. END!
