My visit to Presidential Villa, not a jamboree, says Obiano

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano who had a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday said his visit was necessitated by some critical developments in the state.

Obiano emphasized he is worried by the condition of federal roads in the state which requires urgent attention.

“I took complaints to the presidency to ensure a speedy response to the outcry trailing the growing dilapidation of these roads especially the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway.

“I also used the opportunity to brief Mr President on the slow pace of work on the 2nd Niger Bridge which has caused torrential flooding and the submerging of four local government areas in the state in the past few days.

“I also briefed President Buhari on other developments in Anambra State and emphasized the need for expedited action on federal government projects in the state”, Obiano said.

According to him, his visit to Aso Rock Villa was a routine one that enables him to bring Mr President up to speed with developments in Anambra State.
