Buhari, Trump’s daughter, wish Donald Trump and wife, quick recovery from Coronavirus

US President, Donald Trump

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has wished the President of the United States of America and his wife, melania, a speedy and full recovery from the Coronavirus.

Buhari through his social media handle made the remarks on Friday.

The Nigerian president said, “I wish US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, quick and full recovery from Covid-19”.

The daughter, Ivanka Trump also in her tweet handle said; “Praying for the swift recovery of my father and Melania and for all those that impacted by Covid-19. “As they fight this together, the President will continue to fight for the people of this great country”.

It will be recalled that Trump has been controversial in the fight against the pandemic in the United States claiming that Chloroquine cures Coronavirus and ordered public places to reopen without putting necessary measures in place against the directives of the World Health Organisation, WHO and threatened to stop US financial aids to the global health institution.

Trump also threatened to override any US governors that refused to reopen public places immediately against his order.

However, many believed that the controversial Cameroonian US-based Dr. Stella Imanuel who claimed that Hydroxychloroquine cures Coronavirus was hired by Trump’s cliques.

Immanuel made the claims when she addressed the press after America’s Frontline Doctors Summit in front of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Monday, July 27.

She had first touted the effectiveness of the drug on April 27.

“Hydroxychloroquine works if given early. President Trump we are with you. Many of us doctors know it and have used it. Don’t stop speaking up for us,” she tweeted.

“Hydroxychloroquine has long been used to treat malaria as well as other conditions such as lupus and arthritis”, she said.

Dr. Immanuel, claimed she had successfully treated more than 350 people in the United States with coronavirus using hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Zithromax.

“It’s used to reduce fever and inflammation, and the hope has been that it can also inhibit the virus that causes Covid-19.

“I’m here because I have personally treated over 350 patients with COVID,” Immanuel said in video that has gone viral.

Stella, however, said she did not need to do a double-blind study because it was unethical.

“All of you doctors that are waiting for data, if six months down the line you actually found out that this data shows that this medication works, how about your patients that have died?,” she said.

“We don’t need to die. There is a cure for COVID,” she said.
