NANS hosts Prof Amuda-Kannike, others in Entrepreneurship contest

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Kwara State chapter has concluded plans for the grand finale of NANS Kwara Entrepreneurship Contest in honour of the first practising lawyer in the northern region, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho AbdulRazaq, SAN, OFR who passed on recently.

In a statement by NANS signed by the Kwara state chairman, Comr. Salami Wasiu Onidugbe and General Secretary, Comr. Hassan Ridwan, the contest was born out of the zeal to empower Nigerian students in Kwara State to elevate their entrepreneurship skills in the trying period of Covid-19.

The event which will feature – lectures, empowerment programme and posthumous awards, will have the state governor, Abdulraman AbdulRazaq as Special guest of honour and Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu as chief host.

The Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Professor of Law is keynote speaker on a topic entitled: “AGF Abdulrazaq and his living legacies: Lessons for the future generations”.

The programme is scheduled to hold on Thursday 3rd September at Kwara Hotel by 10am.

Explaining the aim and goal of the event, NANS added that the entrepreneurship contest which is aimed at empowering students is a reflection of the lifestyle of the late legal luminary, Alhaji AbdulRazaq stating that during his lifestyle he empowered people in different ways.

“We believe the best way to honour and immortalize him is to empower the younger generations who are the future of Nigeria”, the students’ body stated.
