Do you know your position?

By Tiana Owolabi

ACCORDING to Napoleon Hill, author of a bestselling book, Think and Grow Rich, “Self-confidence results, first, from exact knowledge; second, the ability to impart that knowledge.”

Here, I am not actually talking about being the first position, second position or taking a job post in the office.

You might have to read carefully till the end. Moreover, I’m not planning to break or shake any table this morning.

According to dictionary, Position refers to a place where someone or something is located or had been put.

It can also refer to a particular way in which someone or something is placed or arranged. Other meanings for position include location, place etc.

Now, let’s dive into it and relate it to ourselves as young individuals going on a journey of purpose.

The question is “where are you currently positioned?”

In the midst of noise?

In the midst of crowd?

In the midst of people who are clueless about making today or tomorrow better?

In the midst of purposeful minds?

This is a question I can’t answer for you (You know).

As teenagers, I know this stage that you are, can be a swerved from one place to another, following what the crowd are involving themselves in without a sense of direction for your lives.

Hence, it is necessary for you to be rightly positioned in the midst of all these so you can be focused on your journey to becoming who God wants you to be.

It should be noted that wherever you are at the moment is not just for you alone. There are people watching you, what you do and the way you go about doing what you love to do.

Look around you and check yourself. You may need to think through and ask yourself about your current placement:

Hope your current placement is not hindering you from moving towards what God has in mind for you?

Sometimes, it may also be that God specifically placed you in a strategic position so that you can position others as well. But you must be able to correctly discern and know this.

Know where you stand.

Know what you stand for.

Check to see if you are rightly positioned.

Thanks for reading through. I hope you got value from this.

Have a productive week ahead.
