FG announces date for resumption of international flights

FEDERAL government has concluded arrangements towards reopening the international airports in the country for flight operations after four months of lockdown following the outburst of Coronavirus pandemic across many countries of the world.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika broke the news on Monday and said that Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airports, Abuja and Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos will commence flight operations on 29th August, however under compliance to guidelines put in place by the government.

He stressed that all protocols must be followed accordingly under strict supervision.

He said protocols and procedures will be announced in due course.

“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience,” Sirika tweeted.
