Ignore the governors on bailout, activist urges Buhari

FORMER lawmaker that represented Kaduna Central in the red chamber in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has blasted state governors for demanding bailout from President Muhammadu Buhari to fight insecurity.

Sani argued that that the security votes the state governors collect have not been accounted for and therefore condemned the demand for another bailout on security.

Recall that the governors during a meeting with the president demanded the President to consider a “bail out” for security for the States in view of the enormity of the resources they now expend in support of the military and the police.

In his social media handle, the controversial former lawmaker who is also a human rights activist called on the President to ignore such call from the governors.

“Dear President, Don’t give out any Bailout funds to anyone, rather fund and equip the Military, the Police and other security agencies to be able to fully tackle our chronic security challenges”, Sani tweeted.
