
FORMER President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday condoled with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun over the demise of former senator that represented Ogun State in the 8th Senate, Buruji Kashamu who died of Coronavirus complications.
Obasanjo in his condolence message said that Kashamu’s death should serve as a great lesson to people stating that the deceased former lawmaker leveraged on the weaknesses in the legal regime to evade justice but couldn’t death.
“I received the dad news of the demise of Senator Esho Jinadu (Buruji Kashamu), a significant citizen of Ogun state. Please accept my condolence and that of my family on this irreparable loss.
“The life and history of the departed have lessons for those of us all on this side of the veil. Senator Esho Jinadu (Buruji Kashamu) in his lifetime used the maneuver of law and politics to escape facing justice on alleged criminal offence in and outside Nigeria.
“But no legal, political, cultural, social or even medical maneuver could stop the cold hand of death when the Creator of all of us decide that the time is up.
“May Allah forgive his sin and accept his soul into Aljanah, and may God grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Obasanjo stated.
