Corruption allegations mustn’t be swept under the carpet, APC Youth group demands

A group in All Progressives Congress, APC Youth Movement and Development Forum (AYMDF) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that all the allegations on diversion of public funds, abuse of office and other corrupt practices of against some public officeholders are not swept under the carpet.

The group in a statement signed by its national Comr. Ahmed Suleiman on Tuesday said that the group will continue to monitor events as they unfold adding that the weighty allegations are pointing to the facts that many in the political arena are merely for selfish interest leaving the vulnerable Nigerian youths in abject poverty.

According to Comrade Isa, the group is the apex body of several registered APC and Buhari’s Youth Support groups.

“We humbly wish to use this medium to call on the father of the nation, President Mohammadu Buhari not to let the various corruption investigations going on in the country to be swept under the carpet, irrespective of who is involved.

“This will surely serve as a litmus test to proof that the APC-led administration resolved to fight corruption in not a keyclob as perceived by some.

“It is totally unacceptable from any appointee of this government to engage in such reckless acts and become squandermania in a country where millions of people live on less than a dollar per day.

“As support groups, we will continue to support and ego our voices where government is advancing in positive direction and equally brings her attention in the area where is necessary”, the statement reads.
