Jonathan arrives Mali for ECOWAS Peace-keeping mission

FORMER President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has arrived Bamako, capital of Mali to begin the assignment as Special Envoy and leader of ECOWAS-CEDEAO Peace Mission to Mali.

Jonathan disclosed this on Thursday and assured that the assignment will produce positive results adding that their message of peace and unity have so far been received by the stakeholders.

“I arrived Bamako Wednesday evening with my delegation to begin my assignment as leader of ECOWAS-CEDEAO Peace Mission to Mali. I’m optimistic that our mission will yield positive results. Our message of peace and progress has so far been well received by stakeholders”, Jonathan stated.

Jonathan was recently appointed as ECOWAS-CEDEAO Special Envoy to Mali. He traveled by Nigerian Air Force airplane.
