Buhari dodged broadcast over attacks – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani

FORMER Senator of Kaduna Central Zone in the defunct 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of suddenly opting out from a national broadcast to avoid criticisms and attacks from suffering masses.

The former Senator who is also a human rights Activist stated that the people were prepared and waited for the presidential broadcast but upon realizing that the atmosphere might be tensed up, decided to withdraw from the broadcast.

Sani made the remarks through his tweet stating that the people were bitter and in anguish which compelled the President to change his plan on the broadcast.

“Baba wanted to come out and talk to you, he peeped through the Window, instead of each of you holding a notebook and a pen, you were holding stones; and he just pulled back to ‘Za living room’. Return your stones from where you picked them”, Sani stated.

However, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina while discrediting the purported broadcast stated that it was never in the plan.

“No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps”, Adesina stated.
