The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this during the weekend at Alausa stating that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu delightedly gave his approval to the plan as a way to circumvent the negative effects of coronavirus on education which led to shutting down all tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools in the state through a lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Mr. Wahab explained that Governor Sanwo-Olu approved the virtual classes to ensure physical distancing among students and their lecturers adding that the move will also help in the maintenance of the State’s tertiary academic calendar despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state government as a result enjoined all students to maximize the unique opportunity to keep themselves engaged while the lockdown arising from the pandemic lasts adding that the century may not significantly benefit anyone that is anachronistic and refused to advance with modern technology.
The statement had it that the action attracted encomiums from the residents and leaders-of-thought to the Governor for the approval and for making Lagos the pacesetter among 21st century knowledge-driven societies.
