Prof Amuda-Kannike chairs ‘Contempt of Court’ session of NBA-Port Harcourt 2019 Law Week

PROFESSOR of Law and Provost, College of Law, Kwara State University, Milette, Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) will on Thursday 12th December chair the second session of the 2019 Law Week of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch at NBA House at Old GRA, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The event organized by the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee will have two Justices deliver paper presentations in the two sessions respectively. 

The first session with a theme, “Understanding the expectations of the judge for effective legal practice” will be handled by Hon. Justice B.A. Georgewill of the Court of Appeal.

Hon. Justice I. N. Buba of the Federal High Court will take the second session themed; “Contempt of Court: The potential for abuse” with Prof Amuda-Kannike as chairman.

In a similar development, Prof Amuda-Kannike has been presented with an award titled. “Award of Gratitude” by the Law Students Association (LAWSAN) of the National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN).

The award as stated was in recognition of his immense support to the success of LAWSAN, Port Harcourt Chapter of NOUN. The law students described Prof Amuda-Kannike (SAN) as a great motivator, mentor and leader per excellence, and wished him well for his patriotism and sense of fairness.
