A legal luminary and Provost, College of Law, Kwara State University, Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) has commiserated with His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR); the Emir of Ilorin over the transition of his beloved mother, Hajia Ayishat Nma Sulu-Gambari who joined the ancestors yesterday, Monday 3 June 2019.
Amuda-Kannike, a professor of law described Emir’s mother as a woman of virtue, humility, and mother of all who cared and showed love without borders particularly to helpless children in the society within her reach, and therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her soul eternal rest.
Prof Amuda-Kannike noted that the deceased passed on after the Ramadan period which attests that she dedicatedly prepared herself to meet with the Merciful Allah, and therefore believed that her transition should call for celebration of a life well spent rather than mourning even though numerous lives she touched while on earth will inevitably miss her dearly especially the Royal Father. He, therefore, prayed that Almighty Allah will grant the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
The learned silk also used the opportunity to wish the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR; His Excellency, Abdulraman Abdulrazaq (Governor of Kwara State); HRH Sulu-Gambari (Emir of Ilorin) a joyous Eid-Mubarak alongside all fellow Muslims and enjoined them to always show love, tolerance and peace in reflections of lifestyles of Prophet Muhammad SAW adding that the society will be serene and lovely when peace and understanding reign.
He prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to guide and protect President Buhari in his second term in office to achieve all his remarkable blueprints for the nation as well as the new governor of Kwara to succeed in steering the affairs of the state adding that political leaders require citizens’ prayers, supports, and cooperation to continue to bring about positive changes in the polity.
