PDP CONVENTION: Police Enforces Court Order, Takes Over Venue

PEOPLES Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday met a brick wall on its national convention as officers and men of Nigeria Police Force sealed all the roads leading to the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, venue of the convention of the People’s Democratic Party with several armoured Personnel Carriers.
According to a report, the policemen equally sealed part of the Rivers State Government House, the Old Presidential Lodge and the Deputy Governor’s Lodge as some of the chieftains of the PDP who arrived ahead of the National Convention lodged in the Old Presidential Lodge and the Deputy Governor’s Lodge…

A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Police were dispatched to enforce the order of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja which gave an order that the National Convention be put on hold.
