Buhari addresses the nation as 14-days lockdown elapse

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm on the state of the nation vis-à-vis the Coronavirus pandemic that befell the country.

The Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Femi Adesina disclosed this in a statement on Monday adding that all television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.

It will be recalled that President Buhari in his earlier address on Sunday 29th March, 2020 on the Covid-19 pandemic declared a lockdown in the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos and Ogun states for two weeks which will elapse on Tuesday 14 April, 2020 as a measure to control the spread of the contagion.

However, the President has during the weekend extended the lockdown indefinitely pending when a signal is given from the appropriate quarters particularly the health sector.
