
Democrats vice Presidential Candidate, Kamala Harris
BATTLE for occupancy of the United States of America’s White House in the next political dispensation gets hotter as the Donald trump’s rival, Joe Biden, presidential candidate of the Democrats party has picked a female and social activist, Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009.
Biden announced the development today Tuesday through his social media handle in which he described Kamala as a fearless fighter and one of the country’s finest public servants.
“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked Kamala Harris fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.
“Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign”, Biden stated.
Accepting the offer, Mrs. Harris, a US Senator expressed gratitude and optimism that the union will produce the desired change of government in the United States of America adding that the November poll is a clarion call to Americans to rewrite the history.
“Joe Biden can unify the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he’ll build an America that lives up to our ideals. I’m honored to join him as our party’s nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief.
Black women and women of color have long been underrepresented in elected office and in November we have an opportunity to change that. Let’s get to work”, she said.
Trump, the incumbent president is the candidate of the Republican Party and has often been entangled on controversial issues since his assumption of office as US President nearly four years ago.
