No presidential broadcast, Presidency disclaims report

THE Presidency has disclaimed the rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Monday 18, 2020 saying that no such plan was conceived let alone made public.

This was disclosed in a tweet by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) a moment ago.

“No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps”, he tweeted.

Nonetheless, Buhari on Sunday received briefing from Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 at the State House which possibly made media outlets to assume that Presidential broadcast would follow after PTF Covid-19 briefing as done since the outburst of Corona virus leading to lockdown in the country.
