Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani
THE Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday approved the appointment of the former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani and the Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello to chair the Party’s Reconciliation Committees for Edo and Ondo States respectively.
This was contained in a statement by Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday adding that the action is in line with the process of true reconciliation among leaders and members of the party at all levels.
Members of Edo State Reconciliation Committee are; Sen. Ken Nnamani GCON – Chairman, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, Fetus Keyamo, SAN, Prof. Tahir Mamman, Mrs. Margaret Okadigbo, Barr. Sanusi Musa and Hon. Abdul-Rahman Kawu Sumaila – Secretary.
Ondo State Reconciliation Committee are; Abubakar Sani Bello – Chairman, Sen. Adamu Aliero, Sen. Bamidele Opeyemi, Gambon Magaji, Jasper Azuwatalum, Hajiya Binta Muazu, Hon. Iquo Inyang, and Shina Pellar – Secretary.
The inaugural meeting of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held at the Party’s National Secretariat and was attended by all thirteen (13) members on Monday,
The meeting unanimously adopted a six-point working document aimed at repositioning the party. Members also renewed their commitment to work as a family in the interest of the party and appealed to all leaders and members to give full cooperation to the Committee in the discharge of its duties/mandate.
Recall that the NEC (National Executive Council) dissolved the crisis-ridden NWC recently and appointed Governor Mai Mala Buni as the National Chairman of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee with a mandate to prepare a national convention in six months’ time.
